2nd and 3rd grade students performed a choral concert on March 16th to family and friends that featured classic songs from Motown. Among the pieces performed were “Signed, Sealed, Delivered” by Stevie Wonder, “Dancing in the Street” by Martha and the Vandellas, and “Stand by Me” by Ben E. King. The concert concluded with a rendition of “Lift Every Voice and Sing” by James Weldon Johnson. Congratulations to our students for putting their focus, discipline and hard work on display to our community and bringing joy to our day.
As part of KIPP’s extended school day model, students receive consistent exposure to music, arts, and physical education. Arts education is core to KIPP’s mission to prepare our students with the knowledge, skills, habit and character for success in college and life.
