KIPP Jacksonville Elementary
At KIPP Jacksonville Elementary, we believe that college begins in kindergarten. KIPP has the smallest kindergarten and first grade class sizes in Jacksonville, with two teachers in a classroom of 25 scholars – a student to teacher ratio of 13 to 1. When combined with our extended school day, your student will begin their education with the best start possible.
From the moment a KIPP elementary student walks through our doors, they are surrounded with imagery of universities – pennants hang from our walls and all of our classrooms are named after top colleges. We model and expect good behavior and teach students to develop strategies for focus and self-control.
As part of our extended school day model, all students receive daily exposure to physical education. The habits and character that a student develops are also critically important to be successful in college and in life!
Across the KIPP network, over 80% of our alumni matriculate to college and are graduating at rates four times that of neighborhood peers. KIPP has established formal partnerships with more than 70 colleges and universities across the nation to support our students on their path to and through college. KIPP supports its students across the entire climb towards a college diploma, and we strongly believe that the first critical steps begin with the best kindergarten experience possible. The first day of kindergarten is the start of a 17 year climb to and through college. KIPP commits to working with and supporting your student every step of the way.
We encourage you to complete an application for your student and hope you consider joining our team and family at KIPP Jacksonville Schools.
