Daily music instruction is an important part of the core curriculum for KIPP Impact Middle School students. Beginning in 5th grade, KIPPsters spend an hour a day learning how to play an instrument and function within a band. Characters skills like grit, focus and teamwork are all, pardon the pun – instrumental! – in building core competencies for success in school and in life.
