Support KIPP Jacksonville

As public charter schools, KIPP Jacksonville Schools receive funds from federal, state, and local government. Unfortunately, public dollars do not fully cover the cost of operating KIPP Jacksonville Schools extended school day and school year, leaving us with a shortfall that must be covered by private philanthropy. We rely on the support of generous individuals, foundations, and corporations to close our annual funding gap, so we can continue to provide our students with the high-quality, college-preparatory education they deserve.

Contributions

Your dollars help ensure that our KIPPsters will receive, music, daily PE, and end-of-year field lessons, and the academic preparation and emotional support they need to successfully “climb the mountain” to and through college.  On average, it costs us about $1,500 per child year to provide our students with 700 additional hours of academic instruction per year, comprised of a longer school days, Saturday school twice per month, and an extra 2-3 weeks during the summer.

Sponsoring a students is an excellent way to us achieve our mission.  In addition, a gift of:

  • $25,000 will fund our summer school program
  • $10,000 will underwrite the cost of purchasing eight laptops for students to use during class
  • $500 will help equip our schools’ science labs
  • $250 will help our schools purchase essential school supplies

"I've never seen schools that operate with the level of discipline, structure, enthusiasm and rigor that I've seen at these KIPP schools around the country. They create a total, high-demand education culture."
